Ski Adventure in the Rocky Mountains (Banff and Jasper)
Enjoy a winter ski holiday in Canada's most famous ski resorts, Banff and Lake
Louise and Jasper. The ski areas are well known for excellent conditions throughout
the winter season. The variation of the resorts, the ski areas and their spectacular
panoramas are unmatched. Hospitality, dining and nightlife are at its best. Come
and experience our "winter wonderland".
- Day 1
- Calgary - Banff: Arrival in Calgary and transfer to
hotel or apartment in Banff
- Day 2 & 3
- Ski Sunshine / Lake Louise or Mt. Norquay: Skiing in
Banff, Lake Louise or Mt Norquay/ Mystique Ridge, you are free to choose which ski
resorts you like to ski. Get carried away by fabulous snow conditions and breathtaking
views. Your ski pass includes the shuttle bus service between the different resorts.
Spend your evenings strolling along Banff Avenue exploring the many shops, fine
restaurants, fun bars or relax at the Banff Upper Hot Springs.
- Day 4
- Snowshoeing - sightseeing - Banff - Jasper: Enjoy half
a day of snowshoeing in the Lake Louise area with nature guides. The quiet beauty
of winter in the Rockies is a delight to explore on snowshoes. The snow acts as
a canvas, recording the tracks of snowshoe hares, pine martens and even the occasional
lynx. There are hidden secrets too: beneath the snowpack are hibernating grizzly
bears and a vibrant winter ecosystem fueled by mice and voles. You continue the
journey north to Jasper past Bow Lake and the Columbia Icefields to Jasper. Overnight
in Jasper.
- Day 5
- Ski Marmot Basin: Located in the breathtaking, vast
and ruggedly mountainous landscape of Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rocky
Mountains, Marmot Basin is a ski destination that inspires lasting memories. The
national park boasts deep valleys that are home to an incredible diversity of wildlife,
waterfalls and lakes frozen in time, carpets of thick, green forests blanketing
the earth and the serene beauty of the snowcapped peaks carries on as far as the
eye can see. One of these peaks is host to the 1,675 acres of superb slopes that
make up Marmot Basin. Only 20 minutes from the town of Jasper, Marmot Basin offers
3,000 vertical feet of superb skiing and snowboarding.
- Day 6
- Columbia Icefields Parkway - Jasper - Banff - Calgary:
Enjoy a leisurely drive south through both Jasper and Banff National Park, stop
for lunch at Num-Ti-Jah Lodge or in Lake Louise. You have plenty of time to stop
along the road and take in this incredible winter wonderland scenery along this
most beautiful road through the Rocky Mountains. Overnight in Calgary.
