Adventures in Jasper National Park
The Snow Train to Jasper invites you to experience the romance of the rails
and enjoy the exhilarating winter wonderland that is Jasper National Park. This
exciting adventure tour combines a journey aboard VIA Rail Canada's legendary transcontinental
train, the Canadian, your choice of Jasper's premier accommodations and superb skiing
and snowboarding at Marmot Basin.
- Day 1
- Edmonton: Arrival in Edmonton, overnight in Edmonton
- Day 2
- Snow Train to Jasper: Board the train in the morning
and enjoy a 5 hour train ride into beautiful Jasper National Park. Check in your
hotel, enjoy the afternoon in Jasper.
- Evening Maligne Canyon Icewalk:
- Join us on a fascinating tour of the deepest canyon
in Jasper National Park. You actually walk on the frozen floor of the canyon, stopping
for photos of the Queen of Maligne and Angel Icefalls. It's a whole different world
down there, especially in the moonlight! Definitely a unique Jasper experience.
- Day 3
- Ski Marmot Basin: Located in the breathtaking, vast
and ruggedly mountainous landscape of Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rocky
Mountains, Marmot Basin is a ski destination that inspires lasting memories. The
national park boasts deep valleys that are home to an incredible diversity of wildlife,
waterfalls and lakes frozen in time, carpets of thick, green forests blanketing
the earth and the serene beauty of the snowcapped peaks carries on as far as the
eye can see. One of these peaks is host to the 1,675 acres of superb slopes that
make up Marmot Basin. Only 20 minutes from the town of Jasper, Marmot Basin offers
3,000 vertical feet of superb skiing and snowboarding.
- Day 4
- Snowshoe Tour: With your guide explore a more pristine
area of Jasper National Park. While identifying animal tracks listen to the winter
song of the chickadee, smell the pine forest on a warm day or hear the "crispness"
of an early winter morning. In the evening enjoy a delightful dinner at the famous
restaurant of the Sawridge Hotel.

- Ski Marmot Basin
- Day 6
- Snow Train to Edmonton: Morning at your leisure, board
the train in the early afternoon and enjoy the return trip on the train to Edmonton.
Overnight at West Edmonton Mall.
